SENIOR THESIS
AND EXHIBITION
For my senior thesis and exhibition I created Dilly Dally Dally. Dilly Dally is a craft supply brand intended to further the practice of art while also educating youth on color theory. Not only do the package designs themselves implement color theory but they create a hands on learning experience
COOL & WARM COLORS
I used the color pencil's design to educate kids on
warm and cool colors. For the back of the package design I created characters that kids can color in with the corresponding colored pencil.
THE COLORS
For the markers I used the colors that are in the rainbow to create this design. The idea is that kids will learn how to layer colors like in the color wheel so orange and red are now red-orange.
THE PRIMARY COLORS
For the primary colors I created a primary paint package design. This creates hands on learning because the kids can mix the colors together and further understand how colors and color mixing works.
COLORING BOOK
The coloring book created was designed to fit inside all of the packages. This enables the kids to actually grasp the color theory concepts. In this coloring book they are able to learn more about cool and warm colors, the colors, primary colors, secondary colors, shades, tints, and color interaction.
FINAL DISPLAY
To display my package designs I created a wall with shelves coming from them. Each different medium was on a different shelf. Below the shelf I put mu coloring books and supplies where people could color.
